As flood damaged areas across Australia begin to clean-up, there are concerns that an out-break of health issues could be caused from pockets of stagnant water across many regions.
With the un-precedent amount of flooding rain the increase of insect breeding is a major concern however, another major concern that could affect both humans and livestock are algae blooms and contaminated water.
